Wk 107

October 19, 2007 To The Ends of The Earth

Verse for the week:
Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof. (1Co 12:27)

And Jesus is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. (Col 1:18)

Quote for the week:
"When we rely upon organization, we get what organization can do; when we rely upon education, we get what education can do; when we rely upon eloquence, we get what eloquence can do. And so on. But when we rely upon prayer, we get what God can do." - A. C. Dixon

Other News:
Sometimes I forget that we, as the Church, are not an organization. We are the living, breathing Body of Christ! Christ is our head - and as such, we should take His lead. What's Christ doing? He is in heaven right now interceding for us (Romans 8:34). If we want to accurately reflect our leader, we must be a faithful, praying body of believers - for God's glory and the good of the world!
