Other News:
The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP) is coming up on November 11. In the past, the "To the Ends" list has networked a prayer chain for this day - we will continue this on Nov. 11, as well. As I write this, I think of ways I could try to motivate you -- like telling you how many people are persecuted for their faith at this present time or how awful they are treated for their faith. But, then I realize that prayer and persecution are not about emotions, motivation, or even temporary passion. They are about endurance…those being persecuted enduring through terrible pressures and my prayer life enduring through my lack of faith by continuing to lift up my brothers and sisters...no matter how I feel, how tired I am, or how little I know about the people I am praying for. It will be a blessing to tell you more about the prayer chain next week—maybe, you will sign up to participate? (Heidi Knobloch)
