December 28, 2007 To The Ends of The Earth
Verse for the week:
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. (John 16:24)
Quote for the week:
"It has often been said that prayer is the greatest force in the universe. This is no exaggeration. It will bear constant repetition. In this atomic age when forces are being released that stagger the thought and imagination of man, it is well to remember that prayer transcends all other forces." - F. J. Huegel

Other News:
The "Quote for the Week" really struck me as interesting. I am reminded at how seriously the world takes it when a nation (like N. Korea) begins to gather the ingredients to potentially make a nuclear bomb. Ambassadors immediately go into action, the military goes on high alert, and intelligence agencies work overtime. I wonder if Satan reacts like that when someone begins to take prayer seriously. He knows the power that we've got at our disposal through prayer and it scares him to death. All the more reason to be on our knees!
Your Prayer Partner,
Joe G.

"The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, and prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray." - Samuel Chadwick
