Verse for the week:
And my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Now unto our God and Father be the glory for ever and ever. Amen. (Phi 4:19-20)

Quote for the week:
"A great many people do not pray because they do not feel any sense of need. The sign that the Holy Spirit is in us is that we realize that we are empty, not that we are full. We have a sense of absolute need. We come across people who try us, circumstances that are difficult, conditions that are perplexing, and all these things awaken a dumb sense of need, which is a sign that the Holy Spirit is there. If we are ever free from the sense of need, it is not because the Holy Spirit has satisfied us, but because we have been satisfied with as much as we have. A man's reach should exceed his grasp. A sense of need is one of the greatest benedictions because it keeps our life rightly related to Jesus Christ." - Oswald Chambers

Apostolic Christian Missionaries to pray for this week:
Sort of a hodge-podge this week:
First, please pray for Rudy Troxel and Rosario Gonzalez, as they are married this weekend in Ixtlan, MX. Pray that the wedding would be a testimony to the community.
Secondly, please pray for Gateway Woods in the next few weeks, as they are experiencing an unprecedented number of job openings due to organizational growth, retirements, and staff even being called to the mission field.
Thirdly, please pray for the Apostolic Christian World Invite taking place in Gridley, IL on June 2-3. It is going to be time of opening up our eyes to the immense needs of our world. Bro. Ed Schwartz (Bluffton, IN) will be speaking on "God's Unifying Mandate for the Church." More information is available at:

Other News:
It's just so hard to reconcile it all. How is it possible in the space of one email to go from an horrific, brutal slaughter of 3 Christian brothers in Turkey to the joys of a Christian wedding in Ixtlan to the urgent reality of domestic job openings for a Christian children's home to an invitation to a Christian event where we get to learn of the world's great needs and be encouraged to make a difference. I don't know about you, but it makes my head spin. It's overload. It's too much. My mind can't move that fast. I can't handle it. I feel helpless. Exactly. And now the Verse and Quote of the Week become very real to me. I need to pray. I need God to be God. This world is WAY too big, way too complicated, way too messy, and moves way too fast for me to handle. I need God to be God. I need to pray. May our reach exceed our grasp.
